University staffer: Don’t say ‘Christmas’ or ‘Easter’

By Bob Unruh

A video has been released that shows an official for Western Carolina University instructing resident assistants not to say “Christmas” or “Easter.”

Because they’re not inclusive.

The video of a conference call session was obtained by Young America’s Foundation through a campus bias tip line.

A woman, a housing coordinator, explains:

One thing I do want to let you keep in mind, uh, inclusive excellence is a part of our creed, so we can’t assume that all of our residents celebrate Easter so when you actually were talking about Easter eggs, I’m like, like ‘What Marvel has Easter eggs in a movie or something, like in a video game, so I thought, like something along those lines.’ Uhm. But you can do like or a scavenger hunt, you can hide things in the building, so even during the holidays, uhm, we we can’t you know say Christmas or specific to one religious holiday, we just, we always say holidays. Uhm, just because we have to be inclusive.

Fox News reported the university, through spokesman Marlon Morgan, denied the school has policies banning such terms.

“This was a conversation among RAs in training and a house coordinator, who was merely suggesting that we should consider that not everyone observes the same religious holidays, so we need to be inclusive of everyone,” Morgan told Fox.

“That was all. WCU hasn’t banned any religious terminology, and we have no policies to that effect.”

Fox News said Morgan didn’t provide further comment when asked about whether the “house coordinator” was an employee of the university. YAF said it happened in the fall, according to its whistleblower.

Morgan WCU “is committed to a diverse and inclusive community that provides an environment in which all can be successful academically and professionally.”

“During our training for resident assistants, our RAs are reminded to be inclusive of all religious views when they are considering programs for students.”

Commenters on the YouTube page for the video were not as gentle.

“Why does inclusion usually mean exclusion? Happy Easter to all!!!” wrote Steve Bird.

Little do they know that neither has anything to do with Christ… and Easter is the goddess of fertility Ishtar, hence the egg and the
bunny which propagates very fast. Jesus said to do this in remembrance of me…. take this cup which is my blood for the new covenant, and take the bread which
shews his death… that is it folks… Take the cup and the bread. Last Fri Mar 27 was full moon Hebrew passover… Jesus death – then 3 nights Fri, Sat, Sun nights and the third day Monday Jesus rose again.. Mar 29th. It is all over truth be known.. and that is when I took the cup and the bread in remembrance of him as requested… this weekend Apr 2-4 is only two days and is on a Catholic date on the Gregorian Calendar, not the Hebrew Lunar Calendar in which it is on the same day each year the 15th day of the Month of Nissan. The third day when Christ arose it was the waving of the Sheaf, the beginning of the Feast of Weeks (7) and ends on the 49 day with the 50th day being Pentecost – the birth of the Church. It behooves me why believers in Christ Jesus do not do what he commanded us to do in remembrance of him… as oft as we do… Not just on the first day of the month in every church as a ritual…. but any time you feel the need… as the body of Christ. Why did not the believers and leaders step up and celebrate Passover on the full Moon Mar 27 and tell the world on Mar 29 it was the day of Christ’s actual resurrection…. I like too, and I wish more truth was out there. Pray that we be who we are in Christ, doing what he wants us to do and where he wants us to do it…. be followers of Christ not the world… If ye love the world then God is not in you the word says. If you do not drink the blood or eat the bread God in not in you the word says… use a electronic concordance and check out the AKJB where words are not changed or left out… it is like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces with the same words in them…. Who cares what the world does… this weekend means nothing to me except for folly…. truth needs to be known. There is only one way to remember Jesus Christ, his birth, his death, and resurrection by taking the cup and the bread. Do this in remembrance of me …. as oft as you do.
1 Cor 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying This cup is the New Testament in my blood: do this ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as oft as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death TILL HE COME – emphases mine – Come Lord Jesus – joy comes in the morning. We should not reinact his death as he died ONCE for all…. and Jesus said to Thomas – You have seen me but blessed are those who have not seen and believe. We really need to get back to the truth of God’s word…. please!
