JAPAN. (THECOUNT) — A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck near Fukushima, Japan, Friday at 6:27 p.m. PST, according to USGS.

The offshore shaker struck near Ishinomaki, Japan, which is about 50 miles from Fukushima.
